Support
Reaches a person. It is the right route for account and sign-in problems, delivery problems, billing, privacy requests, and anything you think the product got wrong.
To get a useful answer faster, include the email address on your account, the company or ticker involved, the filing’s accession number if you have it (formatted like 0000320193-25-000123), and what you expected versus what happened instead.
Please do not send passwords, sign-in codes, or card details. Nobody at FilingSmith will ever ask for any of them.
Reporting a wrong number
If you find a figure in a FilingSmith diff that does not match the filing, report it. It is treated as a defect, not a support query: the specific narrative is held back, the cause is traced through the pipeline, and the fix goes in before anything similar is generated again.
You do not need to be certain — a “this looks wrong” is worth sending.
Common questions
I signed in and the code never arrived
Sign-in codes are emailed and are valid for about ten minutes. Check the spam folder first — a first-time message from a new sender is the usual culprit. Codes expire, and only the most recent one works, so if you requested several, use the last.
I'm not getting notifications
Work down this list, in order: notification permission at the OS level; whether you are following the company; quiet hours; the severity threshold on that subscription; digest batching; and whether the company actually filed.
Quiet periods are genuinely quiet — no filings means no alerts.
I got an alert but not the diff
The diff is the paid tier; the free tier sends the filing alert.
Some filings also legitimately produce no diff — a company’s first filing while you are following it has nothing to compare against. That is a deliberate silence, not a failure.
How do I delete my account?
Email support from the address on the account and ask for deletion. Your account, followed companies, delivery preferences and notification history are deleted within 30 days.
Which companies and filings are covered?
US-listed issuers filing with the SEC, and the forms 10-K, 10-Q and 8-K. Other forms — proxy statements, Form 4 insider transactions, ownership filings — are not covered.
Is the app available yet?
Not publicly. FilingSmith is in private beta and there is no App Store listing.
